Your helicopter adventure begins with a warm welcome and a clear pre-flight briefing from your instructor. They’ll introduce you to the Cabri G2 and explain what to expect during your flight.
Once ready, you’ll step into the cockpit and prepare for take-off. The instructor will handle the lift-off before giving you the chance to take control. From the first touch of the controls, you’ll feel the incredible sensitivity of the helicopter.
During your 30-minute flight, you’ll try simple manoeuvres under the guidance of your instructor. The Cabri G2 is smooth and steady, giving you confidence as you begin to fly. While at the controls, you’ll also enjoy sweeping views of the countryside below, adding to the excitement of the experience.
This trial lesson is designed for beginners, so you don’t need any previous flying experience. It’s an opportunity to step into the world of aviation and discover the joy of piloting.

This is your chance to take the controls and discover what it feels like to fly a helicopter!
You must be at least 12 years old, and anyone under 18 will need parental consent. There is no maximum age, but you should be confident that you can safely take part in the flight. Participation may be refused on health and safety grounds. The maximum passenger weight is 17 stone, and the height limit is 6’4”.
You should call the location on the day before, or the morning of your flight to see if it is suitable to fly. If your experience is cancelled, you may change the date and time booked.
You Helicopter Trial Flight will last just over 1 hour with around 30 minutes of flying time.
Your voucher is valid for one person and your experience will be exclusive with your instructor.
Friends and family can be accommodated so make sure they bring a camera.
Please dress for the weather, and make sure if it is sunny that you bring a pair of sunglasses.
The experience is available throughout the year, although we recommend allowing at least two weeks notice for better availability.
